A list of Illinois companies operating in Shanghai, China and a "Proposal For China-United States Cooperation" were two of the documents in Mayor Daley's briefing book prepared for a trip to Shanghai in 2004. At a luncheon there, the mayor spoke on the topic of "Chicago The Global City."
